This session positions social, environmental, and economic goals as mutually reinforcing and equally important. The session features keynotes on environmental justice and Indigenous worldviews on circularity, alongside panel discussions to identify the game changers for prosperous, inclusive and equitable transitions within communities and sectors. The session will be of interest to experts and learners alike, from all regions and sectors, who believe circular policies, practices and programs should be just and equitable. It will build on the work of WCEF+Climate to incorporate circular economy into the Sustainable Development Agenda and support a just (circular) transition.
Organizers: Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, in collaboration with the African Circular Economy Alliance, Circular Economy Coalition for Latin America and the Caribbean, City of Toronto, European Commission, and Platform for Accelerating the Circular Economy.
