Vice Minister of Energy, Ministry of Environment and Energy since July 2018, Rolando Castro Córdoba was previously Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative at the Mission of Costa Rica to the United Nations in New York from 2015-2018. Prior to that, he was Executive Director at the Center for Environmental Law and Natural Resources (CEDARENA), a local NGO. He has over 20 years of experience as an International Consultant on Environmental Law and Policy for international organizations such as UNDP, UNIDO, GEF, PAHO, GIZ, USAID, IDB, EPA and TNC.
