Leonard Iyamuremye from Youth4Nature. Leonard is an environmental and climate change activist born and raised in Rwanda (country of thousands hills). He was raised loving nature and exploring its beauty. He studied wildlife conservation at Rwanda Polytechnic: IPRC Kitabi, and has received substantial additional training on nature protection, which allowed him to achieve his goal of becoming a wildlife defender. He loves volunteering and advocating for nature, and as a result he serves as a Youth4Nature Global Ambassador, Regional coordinator for East Africa at COY16, Rwanda Country Representative for the African Youth Development Commission, and Ambassador of IUCN-PAPACO. Leonard works as a site manager for the first and foremost reforestation initiative in Rwanda which serves more than 15 million agroforestry trees yearly to Rwandan farmers prepared by One Acre Fund. He also led the biggest campaign in his country on recycling for well-being called “It’s not a trash but a raw material”.
