Equity, diversity and the circular economy

On September 13, join us for “Circular 360: Game Changers for a Prosperous, Inclusive and Equitable Circular Future” to explore the steps we can all take in the next 5 years to scale up a just transition to a circular economy that supports well-being for all.

Indigenous business leader Carol Anne Hilton, CEO of the Global Center of Indigenomics, will give a keynote on the future of the circular economy from an Indigenous worldview. The keynote will be followed by two dialogues on the game changers for prosperous, inclusive, and equitable community and corporate transitions to a circular economy. Zeenat Niazi, VP of Development Alternatives Group in India, Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien, Chair of the Circular Economy Innovation Partnership in Africa, Barbara Swartzentruber, Executive Director in the City of Guelph, and moderator Michael Skaljin from the City of Toronto will discuss community-based approaches to the circular economy for achieving the United Nations 2030 Agenda and Paris Agreement. Esther Goodwin Brown, Lead of the Circular Jobs Initiative at Circle Economy, Stephan Sicars, Managing Director at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and Jocelyne Landry Tsonang, Circular Economy Analyst at the African Circular Economy Network Foundation will explore the role for business in scaling up circularity while building societal resilience in a dialogue on circular corporate transitions.
