Mr. Steven van Weyenberg is Minister for the Environment in the Netherlands. His responsibilities include (inter)national circular economy, smart and sustainable mobility and other environmental issues within the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Until recently (August 2021), Steven van Weyenberg was a member of the House of Representatives for the liberal democratic party D66 (2012-2021). He was the party’s spokesperson on issues including pensions, labour market, incapacity to work, self-employed persons without employees, and tax. Before that, he held several high-ranking positions within the Ministries of Economic and Social Affairs. Mr. Van Weyenberg has a Master’s degree in Economics and in International Relations.
