Michelle Brownlee

Director General, Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Government of Canada

Michelle Brownlee is Director General of Clean Technology and Clean Growth at Innovation, Science and Economic Development. Previously, she worked in strategic policy at Environment and Climate Change Canada. Michelle was also Director of Policy at Smart Prosperity Institute, taught Economics at Mount Royal University, and worked in various Government of Canada departments and agencies advising on energy, cleantech, natural resource and climate policy. She holds degrees from Mount Allison University and Queen’s University in Economics.
